Broadchurch Season Two to premiere in Germany on 13th Street on Monday 30th November

Broadchurch Season Two will premiere in Germany on pay-television station 13th Street at 9.50pm on Monday 30th November. Two episodes will be broadcast every Monday and Tuesday for two weeks. The drama will be broadcast in German with the original version in English as an option.

13th Street will also run a repeat of the original season of Broadchurch from Monday 16th November with double episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 8.13pm. Plus there will be a Broadchurch Season One marathon on Saturday 28th November.

The Broadchurch original season was previously broadcast in Germany on ZDF. There will be a repeat  from Wednesday 30th September at 8.15pm on ZDF NEO with two episodes broadcast every Wednesday. 

David Tennant and Olivia Colman have reprised their roles as Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller in the second season of Broadchurch which was originally broadcast on ITV in the UK. Actors who are also in the cast from the original sason include Andrew Buchan (Mark Latimer), Jodie Whittaker (Beth Latimer), Arthur Darvill (Rev. Paul Coates), Jonathan Bailey (Olly Stevens) and Carolyn Pickles (Maggie Radcliffe). The second season is again written by Chris Chibnall.

New actors have joined the cast including Charlotte Rampling (Jocelyn Knight), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Sharon Bishop), Eve Myles (Claire Ripley), James D'Arcy (Lee Ashworth) and Meera Syal (Sonia Sharma)

The story for this second season has picked up where the original season ended, after the investigation into the murder of the 11-year-old Danny Latimer which sent shockwaves through the Broadchurch community.

Inspector Alec Hardy (David Tennant) has returned to the town in order to attend the trial of the alleged killer but he is also haunted by another (unsolved) crime - Sandbrook.
